2. General Skincare / Facials

Q: What’s the difference between an esthetician and a dermatologist?
A: Estheticians provide professional, non-medical skincare treatments like facials, peels, and microneedling to improve skin health and appearance. Dermatologists are medical doctors who diagnose and treat skin conditions, prescribe medications, and perform medical procedures.

Q: What should I expect during my first facial?
A: Your first facial begins with a consultation to assess your skin, followed by a customized treatment using professional techniques and products suited to your needs. You’ll leave feeling refreshed and radiant.

Q: How often should I get a facial?
A: Most clients benefit from a facial every 3–6 weeks to maintain skin health and address concerns like dryness, aging, or breakouts.

Q: Can I get a facial if I have sensitive skin, rosacea, or acne?
A: Absolutely. All treatments are customized for your skin type and condition to ensure safe, effective results.

Q: How do I prepare for my facial appointment?
A: Fill out all digital forms before arriving.

Q: Are your facials safe during pregnancy or nursing?
A: Yes! We adjust products and techniques to ensure your facial is safe and relaxing throughout pregnancy or nursing.

Q: What is included in a typical facial?
A: Every facial includes a consultation, cleansing, exfoliation, treatment masks, targeted massage, and finishing serums tailored to your skin’s needs. Specific enhancements or add-ons are optional.

Q: Do you customize facials to my skin type?
A: Yes, every treatment is personalized using products and techniques suited to your unique skin concerns and goals.

3. Specific Treatments / Add-Ons

Q: What is dermaplaning, and is it safe?
A: Dermaplaning gently removes dead skin cells and fine peach fuzz using a sterile blade. It’s safe for most skin types and helps enhance product absorption and smoothness.

Q: What is microcurrent therapy, and what does it do?
A: Microcurrent uses gentle electrical currents to tone, lift, and firm facial muscles, boosting circulation and promoting a more youthful appearance.

Q: How often can I get a chemical peel or microneedling?
A: Chemical peels are typically done every 4–6 weeks depending on strength and skin type. Microneedling is recommended every 6–8 weeks for best results. This will be advised based on your skin.

Q: What is the difference between microcurrent, high-frequency, and LED light therapy?
A: Microcurrent tones muscles, high-frequency targets bacteria and supports healing, and LED light therapy improves collagen production and calms inflammation. Each addresses different skin concerns and can be combined for enhanced results.

Q: Are your chemical peels safe for all skin types?
A: Yes. We tailor peel strength and ingredients to your skin type, tone, and sensitivity for safe, effective results.

4. Pre/Post-Treatment Care

Q: Do I need to avoid anything before my facial?
A: Avoid exfoliating products, strong retinols, or chemical peels 48 hours before your appointment to minimize irritation.

Q: Can I wear makeup after my facial?
A: We recommend waiting at least 24 hours for your skin to fully absorb serums and treatments for optimal results.

Q: What should I do after my facial or peel?
A: Keep your skin hydrated, avoid direct sun, and skip harsh exfoliants for a few days. We’ll provide personalized post-care instructions.

Q: Can I exercise or go in the sun after a treatment?
A: Light activity is fine, but avoid heavy sweating or sun exposure immediately after treatments, especially peels or microneedling.

Q: How do I care for my skin between appointments?
A: Follow your customized home care routine using recommended products, and schedule regular facials or treatments for consistent results.

5. Products

Q: What products do you use during facials?
A: We use professional-grade skincare products selected for safety, effectiveness, and your unique skin concerns.

Q: Can I purchase products used in my facial?
A: Absolutely. All products used in your treatment are available for purchase to maintain results at home.

Q: Do you offer product recommendations for my specific skin concerns?
A: Yes! Every facial includes a personalized consultation and product recommendations.
